Roscosmos representatives announced that OneWeb satellites of the space Internet were launched from the launcher No. 6 of the launch pad No. 31 of the Baikonur cosmodrome.
This was reported on the official website of the state corporation. It happened literally today at 01:13:40 Moscow time. Roscosmos launched the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle, which delivered about 34 OneWeb satellites into orbit, which are required to provide high-speed Internet access around the world. The “Fregat” upper stage was in charge of launching satellites into target orbits.
Recall that the launch of communication satellites from the Baikonur cosmodrome was postponed two times. So, initially the launch was planned for Friday night, but later it was postponed to August 21, after which to 22.
