The Twitter administration announced its readiness to remove or block illegal content as a matter of priority. This was stated in Roskomnadzor.
According to the department during a meeting held on Thursday, May 13, the Twitter administration informed about the fulfillment of the requirements for the removal of prohibited content.
“After the measures taken on March 10 to limit the speed of the service, the administration of the social network expressed its readiness to remove or block illegal information as a matter of priority,” the statement said.
It is clarified that the meeting of representatives of Twitter Inc. with the leadership of Rosotrebnadzor took place on the initiative of the company.
The department also recalled that after Saturday, May 15, a decision will be made to extend the existing or take new measures in relation to the social network.
We will remind, Roskomnadzor ordered Twitter to remove all prohibited content by May 15. Earlier, the court imposed three fines on the company at once, the total amount of which amounted to 8.9 million rubles, and it was also decided to extend measures to slow down social network traffic until May 15 of this year.
