Twitter speed limits will be completely lifted when the social network removes all prohibited content, said Vadim Subbotin, deputy head of Roskomnadzor.
“We are ready to lift the restrictions if they fully comply with Russian legislation,” he told reporters.
According to Subbotin, Twitter is left with 9% of prohibited content to be removed.
We will remind, earlier in Roskomnadzor told what exactly slowed down in the work of Twitter. It turned out that the measures taken affected only photo and video content. In March 2021, the department reported that the slowdown will be implemented on 100% of mobile devices and 50% of stationary ones.
As the website kp.ru wrote, employees of the FSSP of Russia began the procedure for enforcing fines from Twitter in the amount of over 8.9 million rubles. The reason for this punishment was the refusal of the social network to delete information prohibited in the Russian Federation.
