Roskomnadzor after May 15 will decide on measures against Twitter
After May 15, Roskomnadzor will decide on the extension of existing or new measures against the social network Twitter, according to the agency's website.
After 15 May, an audit will be carried out and a decision will be made to extend the existing or take other measures. At the same time, it is noted that the administration of the social network has expressed its readiness to remove or block illegal content as a matter of priority.
On May 13, at the initiative of Twitter, representatives of the social network met with the leadership of Roskomnadzor, where the company informed about the fulfillment of the requirements for the removal of content prohibited in the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the Moscow City Court rejected Twitter's complaint about a fine of 4 million rubles. The microblogging service did not report in due time on the localization of the databases of personal data of Russian users. After the company ignored the request, the department initiated administrative proceedings. As a result, the court fined the microblogging service for 4 million rubles.
