Launched on March 4, the First Space TV channel, for the creation of which Roscosmos and the First HDTV television company are responsible, began broadcasting with a story about aliens from Venus and the impending apocalypse. Examples on his website were provided by the popular blogger Ilya Varlamov.
A press release from the state corporation said that the content of the new channel will be based on popular science programs about the structure of the Universe, news from the Russian space industry, as well as thematic feature films and documentaries.
The broadcast of direct launches of Russian rockets and inclusion from space was announced. The First Space was supposed to combine a scientific approach and narrative accessibility.
However, the channel, conceived as an analogue of the American NASA TV, in the early days showed the series “Secrets of Space”, called documentary. The blogger had questions about its content.
In the first episode on Venus, invited experts talk about creatures that live in the planet's sands that look like scorpions, and strange channels in the form of the letter “H”. The guest of the program, Viktor Arkhangelsky, named in the credits as a Doctor of Philosophy, on the basis of the images of the planet, concludes that these channels are the roads of lost civilizations.
In his argumentation, he relies on Plato and ancient Egyptian legends, which speaks of the rule of the gods. According to Arkhangelsky, the myths describe real events, and the gods Asiris, Horus, Isis were aliens from Venus.
Other participants in the program, referring to unnamed American biologists, spoke about the blood rain based on “cosmic particles that are devoid of earthly DNA.” According to them, dark spots in pictures of Venus are microscopic creatures that may be responsible for the worst epidemics on Earth.
In the second episode of the film, Aleksey Diashev, director general of the Research Institute of National Security (an autonomous non-profit organization), spoke about the “terrestrial analogs of black holes” – giant reservoirs of water underground that come to the surface and cause floods similar to those described in the Bible. In general, the issue is devoted to climate change and the disasters that they bring. The filmmakers describe the coming apocalypse and claim that Russia is already ready to meet it with the help of a unique steel complex in Krasnoyarsk, called BIOS-3.
Earlier, the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov defended the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin from criticism. He admitted that breakthroughs and sensations are expected from the state corporation, but stressed that the work should be carried out progressively. According to Peskov, those who criticize Rogozin do not have professional information about the situation in the space industry.
