The Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle with the Fregat upper stage and 34 OneWeb satellites was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome on Sunday, August 22, at 1:13 Moscow time.
The start-up took place normally, the first stage was also separated normally. Later, the second stage also separated at a predetermined time – 287.55 seconds after launch.
Earlier, the launch of the Soyuz-2.1b rocket with OneWeb satellites from Baikonur was canceled. The reason for the cancellation of the launch was a failure in ground equipment. Initially, the launch of Soyuz-2.1b was planned for August 5, later the launch date was postponed first to August 13, then to August 20 and August 22.
