The mission of the Chinese spacecraft Tianwen-1, which successfully landed on the surface of Mars the day before, may add to the agenda of promising cooperation between Russia and China. This opinion was expressed by the executive director of Roskosmos for promising programs and science Alexander Bloshenko.
“Let me express the hope that this mission will become a successful start of the PRC's scientific program for the exploration of the Red Planet and will complement the agenda of our promising cooperation with Chinese scientists,” said the executive director of Roscosmos.
The state corporation noted that they welcome the successes of their Chinese colleagues and congratulate them on the successful landing of the spacecraft on the surface of the Red Planet.
We will remind, on the night of Saturday, May 15, China for the first time in its history landed its space probe on another planet. According to plans, after a while a six-wheeled Mars rover called “Chzhurong” (“God of Fire”) should separate from the apparatus, which will begin work on studying the surface of Mars. As the website kp.ru wrote, the PRC spacecraft has already been congratulated by NASA and the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin on the successful landing.
