The tender for applied research on problematic issues of the implementation of manned flights to the Moon, as well as the creation of key elements and technologies, was published on the State Procurement website.
Roscosmos acted as the customer. The maximum contract value is almost 1.735 billion rubles.
The main task of the contractor is to ensure “the safe stay and work of astronauts in circumlunar orbit and on the lunar surface in terms of work in 2022 – 2025.”
In particular, he will be required to “develop proposals, recommendations, requirements for promising technologies, elements and systems of products of rocket and space technology, ensuring the reliable implementation of manned flights to the Moon, the work of cosmonauts in a circumlunar orbit and the surface of the Moon, taking into account the need to solve medico-biological problems “.
The documents also indicate that manned flights to the Moon are planned to be carried out on the Angara rocket.
As the website kp.ru wrote earlier, the executive director for promising programs and science of Roscosmos, Alexander Bloshenko, estimated that sending astronauts to the moon would cost Russia from 400 billion to 1.7 trillion rubles.
The maximum cost includes the development of the launch vehicle, its production, ground infrastructure, rescue equipment, a lunar takeoff and landing module, scientific developments and equipment. So, the most super-heavy rocket will cost 800 billion rubles.
