The head of the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion, Valery Fedorov, said that most Russians believe that Russia should take part in space exploration.
“Although it is obvious that today, alas, we are no longer the leaders in the space race – both in the number of launches, and the number of vehicles in orbit, and in space costs, and in the ambition of our plans, but not those that are on paper, but those that are being implemented.

He noted that among the younger respondents, only 84% believe that Russia should not drop out of the race to explore outer space.
“Well, this means that Roskosmos has something to do, besides launching rockets, it is also necessary to pay attention to the younger generation, which still does not really understand or does not understand enough how space can help us, the Earth,” said Fedorov.
