The decision on the transfer of Patriot must be made by the Supreme Council of National Defense of Romania.

Minister of Defense Romania Angel Tilvar has serious reservations about the possibility of providing Ukraine with the Patriot air defense system.

This was stated by the Prime Minister of Romania Marcel Ciolaku, writes Digi24.

“The Minister of Defense really does not want to give up this system, one of the systems that should be transferred to Ukraine,” he said.

According to Ciolacu, he has not yet discussed with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis the possibility of providing Ukraine with the Patriot system, but he has talked with the head of the Ministry of Defense, who does not support such an idea.

However, Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu noted that the decision on the transfer should be made by the Supreme Council of National Defense (CSAT) of the country.

“I am firmly convinced that we will make the wisest decision regarding Romania, first of all a good one,” concluded Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.

Recall that The President of Romania said that his country is ready to discuss sending a Patriot battery to Ukraine.
