Dmitry Rogozin, general director of Roskosmos, urged to delay the development of a super-heavy rocket, RIA Novosti writes.
According to Rogozin, there is no need to rush, since in the future developers will be able to use the latest knowledge for this, which they do not currently have. “We need to make this carrier a little later, but make it with the maximum integration of all our new knowledge and our new technologies there,” the head of Roscosmos said in his congratulations to the Russian cosmonauts on the ISS. He added that the existing project is based on developments 20 years ago.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his dissatisfaction with Roscosmos. During a video meeting with participants in the Big Change competition, he pointed out delays in the implementation of programs for the development of a super-heavy rocket and a space constellation under the Sphere project.
