On the air of Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda (radiokp.ru), Dmitry Rogozin, General Director of the State Corporation for Space Activities Roskosmos, spoke about the work being done by Russian cosmonauts on the ISS.

“They have installed certain volumes on the outer board of the station, which will allow research into how outer space, how radiation, how traditional waves and other effects of outer space affect microorganisms that are in an unprotected state,” said the head of the corporation.

According to him, these experiments will help answer the questions whether there is a possibility of transferring some elements of life on the whole from planet to planet on asteroids, on meteorites.

“This is an interesting topic that is connected with the answer to the eternal question: is there any life other than the one that exists on Earth. Therefore, these experiments will of course be carried out. Therefore, no one is scrapping this experimental basis, ”Rogozin said.

There is a commission that selects experiments. Rogozin said that now another unique proposal is being considered at the Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center.

“The point is that, perhaps, to stimulate scientists by the fact that in the future their best developments will not only be carried out as experiments at an orbital station, but maybe even the developer himself will be able to take part in this in one form or another. experiment, ”explained Dmitry Olegovich.
