The head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin spoke about the plans of the state corporation to explore the Moon and deep space in 2021. He wrote about this on his Twitter.
According to Rogozin, next year Roskosmos will start implementing a program of these studies, and will also continue preparations for re-equipping the industry with fundamentally new rocket and space technology. “Our Angara is flying again,” he promised.
Earlier, Rogozin, in his New Year greetings, promised to launch the Luna-25 automatic interplanetary station (AMS) on the moon next year. He clarified that the launch of the device will take place in October 2021.
In 2020, according to RIA Novosti, Russia set an anti-record for the number of launches of space rockets by launching 17 launch vehicles. The USSR carried out a similar number of launches in 1957-1961.
