Rogozin denied reports of readiness to extend the work of the ISS

The head of the state corporation “Roscosmos” Dmitry Rogozin denied reports of readiness to extend the operation of the International Space Station until 2030.

As previously reported, on Friday Rogozin held the first telephone conversations with the new head of NASA, Bill Nelson. Later, a number of media outlets reported that during the negotiations the general director of Roscosmos allegedly supported the idea of extending the operation of the ISS.

In his official Telegram channel, Rogozin said that he did not confirm anything like this during a conversation with Nelson.

He also stressed that it will be possible to make plans for the future only after the American side lifts the sanctions.

Let's remind that earlier the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Yuri Borisov said that the current state of the ISS structures could lead to a catastrophe.
