He said that he hopes for an early transfer of the missile to the military for the next stage of work. As the head of Roskosmos explained, the military will engage in flight tests of the complex.
“It has not only a strategic range, it can hit the aggressor both through the North Pole and through the South Pole. Its range is unlimited. The combat power is such that one missile, excuse me, will blow one of the coasts,” Rogozin said, talking about the possibilities ” Sarmat “.
Flight tests of the new Russian Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile will begin in 2021 and should be completed in 2022.
