“Tianwen-1” landed on Mars at 02.18 Moscow time.
The spacecraft was launched from the Wenchang Cosmodrome on the coast of the island province of Hainan in southern China on July 23, 2020. Since February, he has been in Mars orbit, studying possible landing sites.

Roscosmos welcomed the resumption of research on the planets of the solar system by the leading space powers, noting that this is a great success of China's fundamental space research program. The head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin said that next year the Russian-European ExoMars mission will be sent to Mars.
NASA congratulated China on the successful landing of the first rover, adding that it is looking forward to “the important contribution this mission will make to human understanding of the Red Planet.”
