The state corporation Roscosmos reported that the launch of the Soyuz carrier rocket with OneWeb spacecraft from the Vostochny cosmodrome was postponed to a reserve date.
Prior to that, it was reported that the automation of the launch complex recorded a failure in one of the Soyuz systems.
– Start postponed for a day. To eliminate the remark, the oxidant will need to be drained, – the press service of RIA Novosti is quoted as saying.
The start was planned at 20:43 Moscow time.
Recall that the contract between Arianespace and OneWeb for 21 launches of Soyuz missiles from the Baikonur, Vostochny and Kuru cosmodromes was signed in June 2015. Later, the number of launches was reduced to 19.
On April 26, a Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket with a Fregat upper stage and 36 British OneWeb communications satellites was launched from the Vostochny cosmodrome. Approximately nine minutes later, the “Fregat” with spacecraft successfully separated from the third stage of the carrier. OneWeb dedicated the April launch of satellites to the 60th anniversary of the first man's flight into space; the mission emblem depicts Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.
