Robots are advancing, or rather, running over. In the USA, the mechanism for the first time in the world was able to run five kilometers in open space and fell only two times, MIR 24 reports.
The first is due to overheating of the internal computer, and the second is due to the fact that it overclocked too much in a corner. The robot named Casey covered the entire distance in 53 minutes on a single battery charge.
In the process of running, Casey also taught himself: a special program made sure that the robot always remained upright. In the future, according to the creators of Casey, such mechanisms will be able to replace couriers.
