Google may be sued for turnover fines for repeated failure to delete prohibited information. This was announced by the deputy head of Roskomnadzor Vadim Subbotin, reports TASS.

He noted that the department is going to draw up protocols on turnover fines against the American company on October 27. Subbotin stressed that violations on the part of Google can be called “systematic failure to comply with the requirements” of the law of the Russian Federation to remove prohibited information.

According to the deputy head of Roskomnadzor, the corporation can pay a fine in the amount of 1/20 to 1/10 of its annual revenue. However, the appropriate decision will be made in court.

Earlier it was reported that Google could be fined 8 million rubles for refusing to delete prohibited information.
