The WBA, WBO, IBF world heavyweight champion, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usik said that the Russian Federation, under the pretext of war against fascism, is fighting Ukrainian women, children and the elderly.
“Under the pretext of war against fascism, you are fighting our women, children and the elderly, destroying our hospitals, schools and entire cities. At the same time, you lie cynically and continue to lie that this is some kind of “special operation” and that your shooters are shooting at military bases. A big gap is already underway. Our 2-3 generations at least are already angry at you for your actions,” he stressed in a video message posted on his social media pages on March 12.
The boxer added that the Ukrainians are on their own land and will be able to rebuild Ukraine after the end of the war, investing in this all the funds that are available.
Usyk also thanked every Ukrainian who stood up for their country.
