The American military-industrial corporation Lockheed Martin has revealed the flight hours of the fifth generation F-35 fighters. The statistics included both combat and training flights.
We calculated the number of hours spent in the air by aircraft in service with both the United States and other countries.
The F-35 is said to have spent over 400,000 hours in the air. Voennoye Obozreniye recalls that there are three versions of the fighter: F-35A, with conventional takeoff and landing; F-35B with short takeoff and vertical landing and deck F35C. More than 670 aircraft were manufactured in total.
The F-35 is now in service in eight countries around the world. These are the USA, Great Britain, Japan, Italy, Israel, Australia, Norway and the Netherlands. Even Ukraine wants to buy a fighter.
