The network has updated information about the new generation of Apple branded chips – M2. Apparently, a truly breakthrough SoC awaits us.
According to insiders, the 4-nm process technology will become a distinctive feature of the solution, PhoneArena reports. It is likely that this will be the first such chip in the segment of computers and laptops.
Authoritative analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the first device based on the novelty should be an inexpensive MacBook Air. The device will be released in mid-2022.
Recall that, judging by earlier rumors, at the end of 2021, we are also waiting for new portable computers from Apple. True, it will be MacBook Pro 14 “and 16” with an updated design and the returned HDMI port and SD card reader. These laptops should be based on the Apple M1X chip.
