< p>Dmitry Medvedev proposed the so-called "Russian peace formula", providing for the surrender of Ukraine.
Former President RF Dmitry Medvedev, currently Secretary of the Russian Security Council, voiced a “peace formula” providing for the complete liquidation of the Ukrainian state and its absorption by the Russian Federation.
Experts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) draw attention to this in a new report on March 15.
“Medvedev's demands are not new, but rather represent the Kremlin's real intentions regarding Kiev, which do not leave room for negotiations with a goal other than establishing the exact conditions of Ukraine's complete capitulation,” experts note.
They emphasize that Medvedev’s “peace formula” clearly and harshly expresses what Putin and the Kremlin have long demanded in somewhat softened phrases: peace for Russia means the end of Ukraine as a sovereign and independent state of any kind with any borders.
Recall that Medvedev said that the so-called “soft Russian peace formula” involves the capitulation of Ukraine, as well as the “reunification” of its territories with Russia.
According to Medvedev, in order to achieve the so-called “consensus with the international community,” Ukraine must announce “complete and unconditional surrender,” “carry out demilitarization,” “dismiss all constitutional authorities,” and “immediately hold elections to the provisional parliament.”
He also insists that Western countries recognize the “Kiev political regime as Nazi” and carry out “forced denazification of all government bodies” under the control of the UN.
