The Minister spoke about an important meeting in Wiesbaden with the military leadership of key partner countries.
Based on the results of the Ramstein-20 meeting “it became known that Ukraine will receive more ammunition and missiles for air defense.
The Minister of Defense announced this Rustem Umerov.
He spoke about the presentation of the plan for 2024 and the critical needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces voiced.
“Today our team had a separate meeting with Secretary Austin and General Brown. We discussed Ukraine's plan for 2024, the construction of fortifications, strengthening Ukrainian air defense, and the provision of electronic warfare equipment. Long-range weapons became a separate item,” – he noted.

“Ammunition is what our warriors critically need. They will be there! This was the main topic of the meeting. Partners announced assistance packages that include 155 mm, 152 mm, 105 mm artillery shells and others. We are grateful to our partners for searching and finding ammunition all over the world, which is so necessary to repel the aggressor,” Umerov added.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine expressed gratitude to his German colleague.
“Air defense to protect our cities, to protect our warriors from Russian aircraft, which are dropping UABs on our positions. There will be more missiles for our air defense systems. I am grateful to the German Minister of Defense, who noted that the sky over Ukraine belongs to the Ukrainians. Therefore, our common task is to ensure Ukraine’s advantage in the air,” Umerov said.
According to him, F16 should also help close our sky.
“We are actively working with all involved partners: the USA, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Romania and others, so that the planes are in Ukraine as quickly as possible,” he added.
