After the escalation of the situation in the Middle East, Donald Trump turned his full attention to this direction. He did not meet with Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the G7 summit, which opened up new opportunities for Vladimir Putin.
It is quite possible that Trump will not want to help Ukraine in any way until late autumn. This opinion was expressed to 24 Kanal by the chairman of the public organization “Ukraine in NATO” Yuriy Romanyuk, adding that there is one reason for this.
Why Putin Praises Trump So Much
The US President wants to let Vladimir Putin conduct his summer offensive campaign. He has already given him carte blanche to terrorize Ukraine and do everything to make us agree to capitulate. At the same time, Trump will not help Ukraine in any way.
During a press conference, the American president said that he wanted to end the conflict with Russia because he was losing tens of billions of dollars in trade. In fact, the trade balance between the countries is estimated at only $3.5 billion. At the same time, Ukraine offered Trump to buy American weapons for about $50 billion.
So tell me, where is Trump losing money? On aid to Ukraine or on fake trade relations with Russia, which never existed? He is simply cynically deceiving and covering up his pro-Russian policy, – emphasized Yuriy Romanyuk.
Trump constantly said during the presidential campaign that he wanted to help Ukraine so that it would have a strong position during negotiations with Russia. In fact, now he does not provide our country with weapons, does not impose sanctions, and comes up with various excuses to communicate with the head of the Kremlin.
It is worth remembering that Vladimir Putin said that the Russian negotiating team is ready to start negotiations with Ukraine again after June 22. This was said exclusively for Trump, so that he would be satisfied with the Kremlin's behavior, not impose additional sanctions, but help Russia.
Putin praised Trump at least three times. He said that he was absolutely right, that he is not only a good president, but also a negotiator, that Trump earned billions in business, so he knows how to count and understands that the US allegedly loses money if it does not trade with Russia, noted Yuriy Romanyuk.
In fact, Trump is repeating all of these Putin narratives. That is why we should not hope for new aid to Ukraine or sanctions against Russia. After all, the US president will not allow this to happen.
