by alex

Republicans have demanded that the US Supreme Court annul the Pennsylvania ballots that were received after election day. RIA Novosti reports.

According to the complaint, the GOP believes that election commissions should separate ballots that arrived in the mail or were filed in absentia that arrived after general election day but before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court extended their deadline. The party representatives demanded that the court make a decision on the legality of these ballots.

It is noted that in Pennsylvania, ballots were accepted by mail within days of the election. At the moment, the vote count is still ongoing. According to the latest data, Democratic candidate Joe Biden is marginally ahead in the state. Incumbent President Donald Trump needs to secure the support of 20 Pennsylvania electors to qualify for re-election.

Earlier, Trump promised the Americans to continue the fight for the country and never give up on this path. The head of state, who, according to preliminary estimates, may concede in the elections to a candidate from the Democratic Party, also noted that he would fight for the country's residents. He added that he intends to use all legal means to ensure that “illegal ballots” are not taken into account when counting votes.
