During this meeting, the parties exchanged lists of prisoners of war and letters.

On the territory of Belarus, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets held a meeting with the Russian “ombudsman” Tatyana Moskalkova with the participation of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

He reported this in his message on the Telegram channel.

During this meeting, the parties exchanged lists of prisoners of war that both sides visited: Ukraine – Russian prisoners of war in our country, Russia – Ukrainian prisoners of war on its territory.

The parties also exchanged letters, in particular, they started a new format: they transferred letters from Ukrainian relatives to Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Russian Federation.

Dmytro Lubinets spoke with the leadership of the ICRC missions in Ukraine and Russia, insisting on the ICRC's access to Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilians.

“In carrying out humanitarian mission, Ukraine once again helped reunite families. As a result of the negotiations, the 91-year-old woman met with her son. In this way, we show that family reunification is the most important thing and we hope that our communication on this issue will continue,” the Ukrainian ombudsman emphasized.
