“Damn them, these social networks!” It was this answer (only in a slightly more relaxed formulation) that became the most popular in a recent SuperJob poll. Sociologists turned to the Russians with the question: “If there was only one social network left, which one would you choose?” And the majority of the respondents chose the answer option “None”.
As for the rest of the respondents, most of them voted for VKontakte. It turns out that this particular social network is the most popular among Russians. In second place is Instagram, in third is YouTube (although this is not a social network, but oh well).
The least popular social networks among Russians were Twitter and TikTok. Everything is clear with Twitter – it has never been popular in Russia, so nothing unexpected happened. And regarding “TikTok” let us turn to the research methodology. According to sociologists, they interviewed Russians over 18 years old. TikTok is wildly popular with schoolchildren, with age people, for obvious reasons, lose interest in the antics of Dani Milokhin and other idols of fragile minds.
At the same time, analysts found out that our preferences in terms of social networks are directly related to professions. For example, Vkontakte is popular among managers of all stripes, as well as accountants and salespeople. Economists, marketers and secretaries hang out on Instagram. “Odnoklassniki” are loved by educators and drivers, and this social network is just insanely popular among security guards.
