Relatives of dead in Wuhan want to tell WHO “the truth about coronavirus”

by alex

Relatives of those who died due to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Wuhan, China, wanted to meet with experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) who arrived in the country in order to, despite the efforts of the Chinese authorities, convey the truth about what happened in 2020, the Associated Press reports.

“I hope WHO experts will not become a tool for spreading lies. (…) We tirelessly find out the truth. It was a crime and we do not want the WHO to come to China to cover up these crimes, ”said Zheng Hai, whose father died of COVID-19 last February after being infected in Wuhan.

According to Hai, the state hushed up the danger of the virus at the beginning of the epidemic and hid deaths, and now puts pressure on the relatives of the deceased, who are trying to catch him in a lie: he and other activists were repeatedly interrogated and threatened with dismissal from work for communicating with the foreign press. When WHO experts flew to China, the state removed the chats where activists communicate.

“Do not try to pretend that we do not exist, that we do not demand an account from the state, (…) you have destroyed all our platforms, but we still want to tell everyone that we are not giving up,” Hai said to the Chinese state on behalf of the relatives of the victims of the epidemic.

The fact that WHO experts arrived in Wuhan to investigate the causes of the epidemic became known on January 14. Initially, the PRC authorities opposed the investigation.
