The democratic brand Redmi, owned by the Chinese company Xiaomi, has officially presented a new router at an affordable price – the Redmi Router AX1800 model. The novelty supports the current wireless standard Wi-Fi 6 in the mode of multiple access OFDMA, mesh networks, BSS coloring, as well as the LDPC algorithm for error correction and increased protection against interference.
The router runs on the OpenWRT operating system with the ability to configure via the proprietary Easy Connect application. The model is based on the Qualcomm IPQ6000 processor with a maximum clock frequency of 1.2 GHz and is equipped with an auxiliary single-core NPU chip with a frequency of 1.5 GHz. Router AX1800 has a Gigabit WAN port, three LAN ports, and four external-type omnidirectional antennas with 5dBi gain.
WPA3, MU-MIMO, IPv6 are supported. The dimensions of the router are 247 × 141 × 180 mm. The price of the new item is $ 36, or about 2555 rubles. Meanwhile, the nominees for the Golden Joystick Awards were announced.
