Record number of COVID-19 infections revealed in Russia since December 31
In Russia, over the past 24 hours, 27,550 cases of coronavirus infection have been identified. This is a record value since December 31, according to the federal headquarters for the fight against COVID-19.
The largest increase was recorded in Moscow – 5,404 cases, in St. Petersburg – 2,418, in the Moscow region – 1,454. Over the entire time of the pandemic, 7,690,110 people were infected throughout Russia. Currently, 677,331 residents of the country are undergoing treatment.
During the day, the number of recovered people increased to 20 330 people. In total, 6,799,230 patients were discharged after recovery.
The number of deaths was 924. For the second day in a row, more than 900 deaths have been recorded in Russia. In total, 213,549 people died from coronavirus infection.
Earlier it was reported that in Russia, only 2% of those vaccinated are infected with coronavirus.
