One of the employees of the Burshtyn TPP, injured in the explosion at the enterprise on November 28, died in hospital. He received serious burns.
The TPP Facebook page reported that the worker received up to 60% of skin burns.
– All the time, doctors fought for the victim's life, the station administration fully supplied him with medicines, provided everything he needed. 24/7, the station was in touch with family and doctors.
Despite the prompt actions of doctors, unfortunately, the injuries received were incompatible with life, the message says.
Regarding the situation with other victims, the TPP press service noted that their condition is stable and there is no threat to life.
Burshtyn TPP is located near the city of Burshtyn in Ivano-Frankivsk region, at the intersection of power lines connecting Ukraine with Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
The accident at Burshtynskaya TPP occurred on the evening of November 28 at the seventh power unit.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred due to the rupture of the shield tube on the boiler. Because of what there was a release of a hot steam-water mixture and gases from the boiler furnace. Five people were hospitalized with burns.
