The Pine64 company, known for developing gadgets for real geeks, including smartphones running the Linux PinePhone operating system, presented its next creation – an electronic reader – PineNote.

The novelty also runs on Linux with the ability to choose between the KDE Plasma and Plasma Mobile interfaces. Using the Anbox and WayDroid utilities, it will also be possible to run Android applications. PineNote received a 10.1-inch E-Ink screen with an aspect ratio of 4: 3 and a resolution of 1872 x 1404 pixels, capable of displaying up to 16 shades of gray.

There is a built-in backlight with a choice of color temperature. The model is based on the Rockchip RK3566 quad-core ARM platform. Provides 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent eMMC memory. There is also room for two microphones and two speakers on board the reader. With all this, the thickness of the device case is only 7 millimeters.
