RDIF head meets with Austrian Chancellor

Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), held talks in Vienna, during which he discussed the use of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine in Austria. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Russian Ambassador to Austria Dmitry Lyubinsky.

He said that the head of the RDIF spent several hours in Vienna. Commenting on the past negotiations, he mentioned that they were held in a constructive and productive atmosphere. At the same time, the Austrian Press Agency clarified that Dmitriev spoke with the country's Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.

On March 2, it was reported that Austria had begun negotiations with Russia over the supply of Sputnik V.

Sputnik V is the world's first registered human adenovirus vaccine. Its use is approved in 45 countries, second only to the AstraZeneca vaccine approved in 49 countries. In Russia, the vaccination campaign started on December 5, 2020, vaccination is carried out mainly by “Sputnik V”.
