Kirill Karpov, senior researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), commented on the information about the research on the nature of evil and hell. In an interview with RBC, he said that he oversaw the study of this topic.
Karpov noted that he directed the scientific research “The Phenomenon of Evil: From Metaphysics to Theories of Morality”, within the framework of which the work “Is the existence of hell is evil?” The scientist explained that it is “an analysis of atheistic arguments from evil” and called it a scientific discussion.
“More specifically, the question of whether the existence of hell, as claimed in Christian dogma, is an argument against divine goodness.
