From next week, UEFA will again allow European Cup guest fans. Rapid, Sturm, Salzburg and LASK cheer.
Since the outbreak of the corona pandemic, football fans have not been allowed to support their favorite team in European competitions away from home. Rapid had to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last year without a supporter – and went down 4-1.
This year the opponents in the Europa League are West Ham, Genk and Dinamo Zagreb. And as the UEFA announced on Monday, the green and white suitcases can be packed. Because from now on guest fans are allowed again.
In addition to Rapid, the battlers from Salzburg (Champions League opponents: Sevilla, Lille, Wolfsburg), Sturm Graz (Europa League opponents: Eindhoven, Monaco, Real Sociedad) and LASK (Conference League opponents: Helsinki, Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Alashkert).
The fact is: From now on, the national authorities will decide whether and how many fans from the home and visiting clubs are allowed to attend the games.
