According to the investigation, he met a 15-year-old student on the Internet and they communicated online for some time.
February 14, new acquaintances decided to meet and the minor got into the man’s car. At first he drove her around the city, and then took her to a deserted place.

The injured child immediately told his mother about what had happened, and she called the police. The girl was in a state of shock and could neither describe the appearance of the attacker nor his car.
—Operatives of the Rivne Regional Police Department, together with colleagues from the regional department, carried out search activities throughout the night to establish the identity of the attacker. With the force support of the RPON, he was detained at his place of residence in the regional center, — indicated by law enforcement officers.
On the fact of the incident, criminal proceedings were initiated under Art. 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (rape of a minor). The suspect faces up to 12 years in prison.
