The third season of the game called Crystal Guard begins on the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege test server. In it, the developers of Ubisoft introduced a new character – the transgender operative Osu.
Wasp's gender identity was not revealed during the announcement of the first season, her biography only hinted at it. However, later representatives of the company confirmed their guesses, and also said that they created the character together with experts.
“The decision to create a transgender character was made early on as part of our roster of operatives initiative. Our consultants, all of whom are transgender, wanted to make sure the Wasp is presented as authentically and organically as possible. She was created by a queer person and voiced by a trans woman – of course her gender influences her personality, but when creating the character we focused on her talents and her close friendship with Kali, ”said screenwriter Simon Ducharm.
It will be possible to get acquainted with the new character on the test servers of the game from August 17th. In addition, the developers have updated three cards – “Bank”, “Club” and “Coast”.
