Glen Kamara

Sparta Prague was sentenced to a ghost game for racism. 10,000 were allowed into the stadium, they didn't make it any better.

On Thursday evening, football showed its ugly side at the Europa League game in Prague. Glasgow professional Glen Kamara has again been the victim of racial slurs.

In the away game against Sparta Prague, this time not on the opponent's lawn, but by children in the stands. The midfielder (25) was booed in the 1-0 victory of the Czechs by the 10,000 young Sparta fans every time they hit the ball, and according to media reports they also insulted him in a racist manner.

Actually, due to a racism scandal in the Sparta game against AS Monaco (0: 2), in which the dark-skinned AS player Aurelien Tchouameni (21) was insulted several times by Prague supporters, the duel against the Scots was supposed to be be played in front of empty grandstands.

The Czech series champion suggested, however, that 10,000 children between the ages of six and 14 and their carers should be allowed into the stadium with a special permit.

Kamara, who saw the yellow-red card on Thursday evening in the 74th minute, had previously been involved in a racist incident. Last year, after a game against Slavia Prague, he accused the opposing player Ondrej Kudela (34) of a “hideous racist insult”. As a result, UEFA suspended Kudela, who played everything, for ten games.
