“Quite spontaneously”: Feigin suggested what could have forced Putin to announce mobilization

by alex

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization in the country spontaneously. Perhaps the consequences of the SCO summit in Samarkand forced him to take such a step.

It seems strange that Putin suddenly needed mobilization without declaring martial law.

Such an opinion said the Russian oppositionist, lawyer and jurist Mark Feigin.

“In my opinion, quite spontaneously(mobilization was announced – ed.). Because if you were going and planning to announce mobilization, then why did you stimulate Kadyrov with volunteer regional battalions and your comrade Prigozhin – by convicts? If you have a reserve there of the incredible hundreds of thousands of potential draftees. Not to mention the fact that he (Putin – ed.) did not announce the war, he is simultaneously conducting a “special military operation” and, it turns out, he needs mobilization. Why do you need mobilization without declaring martial law? Well, it is clear that everything is for a utilitarian purpose. Nevertheless, it all looks not that illogical, but premature. Or we misunderstand something and the situation is completely bad,” Feygin said.

In his opinion, the reason for the sudden announcement of mobilization could be Putin's meeting with the leaders of China and India, who probably demanded an end to the war.

“One of the interpretations that I adhere to and have already voiced is the consequences of the SCO summit in Samarkand and talks with Xi Jinping and Modi, who, quite possibly, somehow outlined their position on the war and the desire for it to end quickly. This is one of the explanations. There may be even more of them,” the oppositionist said.

Recall that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said that Ukrainian troops will destroy everyone who comes to our land with weapons – voluntarily or by mobilization.
