She invented a method of murder that resulted in her own death.

When most people think of the words “terrible drug lord” figures like Pablo Escobar and El Chapo, but there is also a lesser-known woman who gave these guys a good run for their money.

Ladbible.com writes about this.

With nicknames like “godmother” and “queen of cocaine,” you'd think Griselda Blanco's reputation would precede her, but she's often overlooked in favor of her male colleagues. However, Blanco's history is no less intense and chaotic.

During her years as a major figure in the Miami underworld, she invented a method of murder that eventually resonated with her – as she was eventually killed using the same technique she created – when a motorcyclist driving by victim, shot her as he walked and drove on. This type of killing became widespread during drug wars, and the tactic was later adopted by other gangs for drive-by shootings.

Blanco was once a major player in the notorious drug wars that engulfed the United States back in the 1980s, and she rose through the ranks to become one of the world's top cocaine industry bosses.

She lived a life full of crime, violence and ruthless mischief.

According to her former lover Charles Cosby, her first criminal offense occurred when she was only 11 years old. Griselda, born in Colombia, ran away from home when she was 19 years old, and in late 1964, using false documents, she made her way to the States, where she found a husband and had three children.

In addition, she also had to work on setting up an operation to transport cocaine between her home country and major US cities such as Miami and New York.

Blanco's hands later became much dirtier: she was responsible for a series of bloody murders and brutal attacks.

Griselda was also called the “black widow.” The woman was married three times. All three of her husbands were also involved in drug trafficking or smuggling and died. She killed her second husband with a shot in the mouth. All four of her sons were also involved in their mother's drug business. Three of them were killed during her lifetime.

The drug lord made billions of dollars from her illegal enterprise from the late 1970s to the 1980s. But everything changed in February 1985 when the Drug Enforcement Administration raided her home and charged him with conspiracy to manufacture, import and distribute cocaine, leading to a 15-year prison sentence. 62~

While she was behind bars, Blanco also faced three first-degree murder charges, one of which was for the murder of a two-year-old boy. She later pleaded guilty to the charges and had an additional 20 years added to her sentence, but the drug lord was suspected of being responsible for at least 40 other murders, and possibly as many as 200.

In 2004, Griselda was deported back to Colombia. On September 3, 2012, she died. Blanco was standing on the street outside a butcher shop in her hometown of Medellin when two hitmen riding past on motorcycles shot her to death. They shot her twice in the head, and she died instantly at the age of 69.

Speaking of the irony of the method of her murder, Professor Bruce Begley, head of the Department of International Studies at the University of Miami, explained it's all karma. He told The Guardian at the time: “It is a kind of poetic justice that she met the end that she brought to so many others.  Here is a woman who made many enemies along the way and was responsible for the deaths of countless people. She may have retired to Colombia may not have looked like the player she was in her early years, but she had old enemies almost everywhere you looked. What goes around comes around.”

As a reminder, the swan car is considered one of the craziest and eccentric cars in the world to ever hit the streets. It was created in the early 1900s.
