A pyro scandal broke out in the Europa League match between Frankfurt and Royal Antwerp. The game had to be interrupted.
It is the 47th minute of the game between Royal Antwerp and Eintracht Frankfurt when German goalie Kevin Trapp is suddenly on the ground. The repetition shows an ugly picture. A fireworks thrown onto the pitch by the Antwerp fans explodes directly under the German national goalkeeper, who immediately grabs his ear and sinks to the ground.
After a few minutes, the all-clear. Trapp is checked through by the doctors, the game can be continued. Even before the game, the fans in Antwerp are said to have caused inglorious scenes. A group of German supporters attacked an Antwerp fan bar on Thursday afternoon, reported the Belga news agency. The terrace of the café was therefore destroyed.
