Putin’s rhetoric of “waiting out the West” is bearing fruit: a political strategist explained why the dictator perked up

The leader has mastered the “great art of lying.” The Kremlin inspires Vladimir Putin to speak nonsense even more actively.

This was discussed in an interview with a Channel 24 expert.

At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russian President Putin was bad at lying about the situation in the Russian Federation and at the front in Ukraine. Subsequently, topics for upcoming speeches and answers to questions began to be prepared for him; he studied everything carefully and therefore spoke nonsense more and more actively, says Boris Tizenhausen.

“The great art of lying so that to a person who is not in the context, what was said would sound logical, but everything was exactly the opposite,” added Tiesenhausen.

He commented on Putin’s speech at the board of the Russian Ministry of Defense and noted that the dictator’s rhetoric of “waiting out the West” is bearing certain fruits.

“In 2022, the Russian president did not hold a press conference at all. But in the second year of the great war, he “lounged” on a chair and chatted for four hours about absurd things. Again repeating the template rhetoric about the war in Ukraine, blaming NATO and the West in encroaching on the borders of Russia,” Tizengauzen recalled.

Taking this into account, Putin can really take inspiration and perform so lively, the expert believes.

According to Tizenhausen, the Russian Federation has learned to circumvent the imposed sanctions, and therefore beat Europe.

“He has faithful “dogs” in the person of the same Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who, if necessary, will block any initiative or sanctions from the EU for Russia. Also helping are China and Turkey, which takes a serious place in trade turnover with Russia,” Tizenhausen recalled.

Therefore, the Russian president “began to feel normal.”

“Unfortunately, attention to the war is weakening for natural reasons: if you show the war for a long time, everyone gets tired. This was the case with Syria and any other war. It will be more and more difficult for us, but we have serious partners,” – says Boris Tizenhausen.

Let us recall the statements that have recently been heard in Russia regarding the war in Ukraine. For example, the head of the Kremlin, Putin, stated that the so-called “SVO” will continue until the crimes of the “tasks” of the occupiers are carried out.
