“Putin’s cartoons”: how dangerous are Russian weapons in space – expert

Russia has been conducting research into the possibility of placing weapons of mass destruction in space since 2010.

Project for placing powerful weapons in space , which they have been doing in Russia for many years, are yet another “Putin cartoon”, with which Russian military designers please the pride of the Kremlin owner, without achieving significant success.

This opinion was expressed by Defense Express military expert Ivan Kirichevsky on the Espreso TV channel

“All those “Putin cartoons” that he showed in 2018 remained [unrealized]. Even the same specific projects “Petrel” and “Poseidon”. These missiles were at least able to fly in prototypes. Everything else, in particular what scared the White House and Congress by saying that the Russians have anti-satellite capabilities with a nuclear reactor, exists only on paper and in the heads of propagandists,” the expert explained.

According to him, Russia has been conducting research into the possibility of placing weapons of mass destruction in space since 2010, but without much success. Therefore, he considers the commotion that began in the USA strange.

“Fortunately, today there is no need to say that the Russians were able to come up with some powerful weapons that will work in space,” summed up Ivan Kirichevsky.

Recall that the US authorities announced a secret “threat to national security.” According to media reports, we are talking about Russia's alleged plans to place nuclear weapons in space.
