Russian President Vladimir Putin and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan will hold talks in the Kremlin on February 24. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the agency, after arriving in Russia, Khan laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow. It is noted that this is the first official visit of the leader of Pakistan to Russia in 23 years.

The talks with the Pakistani prime minister will be Putin's first meeting with a world leader since the start of the military operation in Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan held talks by phone. It was noted that the heads of state exchanged views in connection with Russia's recognition of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, and also touched upon the issue of security guarantees for the Russian side.
