Russian President Putin supports Rowling in response to a question about new ethics

Russian President Vladimir Putin has supported the writer J.K. Rowling when answering the question about the culture of abolition and new ethics. The head of state expressed his point of view on this matter during the annual press conference, broadcast by RIA Novosti.
According to the Russian leader, in this matter he adheres to the traditional approach: “a man is a man, and a woman is a woman.” He also expressed the hope that the society has internal moral protection dictated by the confessions of Russia. “In the West, we must take only the best and the most progressive, which allows us to develop and“ be on the march, ”” he added.
Rowling had previously condemned the Scottish police’s decision to label transgender rapists as women. The creator of Harry Potter shared a link to an article in the Times that said law enforcement in Scotland would register male rape as women if they identified themselves that way. The writer commented on the news, recalling the lines from George Orwell's dystopian novel “1984”. “War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is power. The man with the penis who raped you is a woman, ”Rowling wrote.
In the summer of 2020, she ridiculed the author's column titled “Opinion: After COVID-19, a fairer world for menstruating people needs to be created.” Rowling joked that the columnist forgot the word “woman.” As a result, she was accused of transphobia.
