The Presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko played in a friendly hockey match. RIA Novosti reports.

The meeting took place in the ice arena of the Manezh children's and youth sports school in Strelna. The heads of state played for the white team, which defeated the Reds with a score of 18: 7.

In the third minute the scoring was opened by the Russian president, after him the second goal was sent to the opponent's goal by the Belarusian leader. In total, during the match, Putin scored seven goals, Lukashenka – two. The son of the President of Belarus, Nikolai Lukashenko, hit the rivals' goal four times.

Together with the presidents, the teams included the stars of Soviet and Russian hockey: Valery Kamensky, Alexander Yakushev and Alexey Kasatonov. Before the match, they were presented with state awards for their contribution to the development and popularization of sports. General manager of the Russian national hockey team Ilya Kovalchuk and State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Fetisov also appeared on the ice.
