The last time Putin visited China was the Winter Olympic Games. And in March 2023, Xi Jinping flew to Moscow and invited Putin to the forum for a return visit.
On the eve of Putin’s proposed trip to China, Bloomberg announced. As the publication noted, this will be the first foreign trip of the Russian President since the International Criminal Court issued a warrant for his arrest in March 2023.
After the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Putin visited only neighboring countries (Tajikistan, Turkmenistan) and Iran . He ignored other measures and visits for fear of being arrested.
