  • Putin said that he is ready to meet with Zelensky, but will not sign anything with him.
  • He once again spoke about the alleged illegitimacy of the Ukrainian president.

Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin has said he is ready to negotiate with Volodymyr Zelensky. However, the Russian dictator has once again refused to recognize the current Ukrainian president as legitimate enough to sign agreements.

This was reported by Channel 24 , citing Putin’s statement during a meeting with representatives of international news agencies, which was disseminated by Russian media.

Putin said he was ready to meet with Zelensky

During his speech, the head of the Kremlin stated that Russia allegedly does not rule out the possibility of peace negotiations and is personally ready to meet with everyone, including Vladimir Zelensky.

However, the head of the aggressor country Russia once again stated that Zelensky, in his opinion, allegedly does not have the legal authority to sign international documents.

We don't care who conducts the negotiations, I am even ready to meet. But when the final stage comes… the signature must be from the legitimate authority, Putin said.

In his statement, the Russian dictator allegedly referred to provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine, which allegedly states that President Zelensky's powers have already expired.

Putin also stated that Ukraine is supposedly a “presidential-parliamentary republic” in which “all government bodies are formed by the president,” which, in his opinion, automatically calls into question the legitimacy of the entire Ukrainian government.
