In the course of his next message to the Federal Assembly, President Vladimir Putin announced the timing of the transfer of the latest Sarmat intercontinental missile to the military. As it turned out, there wasn’t too long to wait.
The President of Russia announced that the arrival of “Sarmata” is planned for the end of 2022, writes Lenta.ru. At the same time, the latest hypersonic missile systems – the intercontinental Avangard and the Peresvet laser combat complex – are already on alert “in the hands” of Russian soldiers.
Recall that for the first time, Vladimir Putin announced a domestic superweapon back in March 2018. Then he listed the main advantages of the RS-28 “Sarmat” missile system, the “Avangard” missile system (equipped with a hypersonic gliding winged unit and a combat laser installation “Peresvet”).
